Aeronautical Engines and ComponentsClient: ITP Aero
In its 30-year history, ITP Aero has established itself as the ninth largest aeronautical Engine and Components Company in the world.
Today, more than half of all double-aisle aircrafts in service are equipped with an ITP Aero product. ITP Aero operates as a corporate entity within the Rolls-Royce Group and is responsible for the maintenance of the Spanish Armed Forces’ engines.
ITP Aero contacted EJ Ultrasonics where two engineers visited the site to assess the ultrasonic equipment and investigate possible solutions to improve performance. There was a visual assessment of all tanks and submersibles, as well as an important check of the ultrasonic generator’s power readings.
The goal for this visit was to assess the current equipment and see if there was any room for improvement. We found that the submersibles could be improved to create a more efficient and optimised cleaning operation. We recommended replacing the current submersible units with a fit-for-purpose system that would streamline the entire operation. We also suggested an ultrasonic activity meter to ensure that they were able to keep track of the activity with their system, improving efficiency.
By doing this, we achieved the optimal power within the system as well as supporting ITP Aero throughout the whole process, ensuring they had a full solution to their ultrasonic cleaning needs that saw improvements throughout.
